Brandon Inniss - Logs a few more targets Saturday Inniss reeled in all three targets for 45 yards during Saturday's 56-0 win over Western Michigan.

Impact Inniss saw a slight uptick in usage after failing to haul in his lone target during the season opener versus Akron. The 6-foot sophomore also worked into the game on punt returns this week, as he's now totaled 66 return yards through two games. He also finished tied with fellow sophomore Carnell Tate for the Buckeyes' third-most targets this week. However, both fell significantly behind the team's clear top-two wideouts, Jeremiah Smith (six) and Emeka Egbuka (eight). It will be worth monitoring if Inniss can beat out Tate and senior Jayden Ballard to become the clear-cut WR3 for Ohio State this season. The team will next play versus Marshall on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Carnell Tate - Three more catches Week 2 Tate caught all three targets for 45 yards during Saturday's 56-0 win against Western Michigan.

Impact Tate once again played in a secondary role for this highly-talented Buckeyes receiving corps. The 6-foot-3 wideout saw similar production overall, though this week he actually wound up tying with fellow sophomore Brandon Inniss for the team's third-most targets Saturday. Ohio State has clear top-two receiving options between freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith and fifth-year senior Emeka Egbuka. But, with back-to-back blowout wins to begin the season, it's unclear how the targets will break out for Tate, Inniss and senior Jayden Ballard moving forward. The next opportunity to monitor their usage will come Saturday, Sept. 21 versus Marshall.

James Peoples - Logs first career TD Peoples notched 10 rushes for 51 yards and one touchdown and hauled in their only target for negative two yards during Saturday's 56-0 win against Western Michigan.

Impact Peoples found the end zone on a 16-yard carry for his first career touchdown late in the third quarter. The 203-pound true freshman from Texas was one of the country's top running back recruits out of high school and it appears he's already taken over the RB3 role for the Buckeyes. As a result, he's gotten some late playing time during back-to-back blowout wins for the team this season. The team still has an elite two-headed monster in running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson, so it's unlikely that Peoples will see significant playing time in many non-blowout wins for Ohio State moving forward. However, if either Henderson or Judkins are forced to miss time with injury, than Peoples could be in line for a productive RB2 role for the Buckeyes.

Emeka Egbuka - Better production Week 2 Egbuka tallied five receptions (on eight targets) for 98 yards during Saturday's 56-0 victory over Western Michigan.

Impact Egbuka didn't see a significant shift in his own target share, though he actually wound up leading the Buckeyes in catches and targets Week 2. The senior still was not on the receiving end of either of the team's two passing touchdowns Saturday. Instead, freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith caught a 70-yard touchdown from starting QB Will Howard, and junior tight end Bennett Christian linked up with third-string QB Julian Sayin for another score late in the fourth quarter. Egbuka caught a career-high 10 touchdown passes during the 2022 campaign before logging five scores across 10 contests last year. Unless he starts to find the end zone more, his fantasy value could be relatively limited in what could end up being a rush-first defense for Ohio State this year.

2024 Big Ten power rankings: Ohio State on top, USC climbs after Week 2

Quinshon Judkins - Logs two more scores Week 2 Judkins accrued nine rushes for 108 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 56-0 victory over Western Michigan.

Impact Judkins scored on two 23-yard end-around rushes in the first half. As a result, the Ole Miss transfer led the Buckeyes in rushing yards in what was a dominant performance for the team's ground game (and all-around offense). He also continued to split carries with senior running back TreVeyon Henderson, who logged 10 carries for 66 yards and two scores. It's hard to project much from Judkins' workload and production through the first two games of the season, as this sample size is rather diluated by the blowout nature of these contests. However, it's fair to say that he certainly won't total over 270 carries like he did in the previous two campaigns at Mississippi. His fantasy value should still be valuable so long as Ohio State's offense continues to roll to high-scoring wins.
