Lacks production in loss Bazelak completed 22 of his 44 passes for 223 yards and one touchdown to one interception during Saturday's 35-21 loss to Nebraska.

Impact Bazelak struggled against the Cornhuskers' subpar pass defense, as he played without his top two receivers Cam Camper (illness) and D.J. Matthews (undisclosed). As a result, the junior targeted fellow transfers Emery Simmons (six receptions, 57 yards, one touchdown) and Andison Coby (five receptions, 54 yards) a combined 19 times during Saturday's loss. Bazelak likely will need his top two wideouts back in order to find any success against Michigan's statistically dominant defense next week.

Gives up three turnovers Bazelak went 31-of-66 passing for 280 yards and a 2:2 TD:INT ratio during Saturday's 45-24 loss to Cincinnati. He also coughed up a fumble lost 41 yards on six rushes.

Impact Bazelak averaged the lowest yards per attempt (4.2) of his collegiate career while also tossing a career-high 66 passes against the Bearcats defense. The Missouri transfer was forced to play from behind during much of Saturday's loss after he sailed an interception over the middle of the field on the Hoosiers' second offensive drive. Bazelak was also strip-sacked for a scoop-and-score touchdown at the end of the first half, and he threw a pick on Indiana's final play from scrimmage, thus finishing with a woeful 47 completion percentage. The junior's play should stand to improve when he faces one of the Big Ten's most porous pass defenses in Nebraska next week.
