Minimal production in blowout Bazelak was 15-for-22 passing for 168 yards during Thursday's 41-17 victory versus Fordham. He also had two rushes for 27 yards with one touchdown.

Impact The senior quarterback's performance against Fordham wasn't bad overall, but he was overshadowed by Terion Stewart's dominant three-touchdown rushing performance. Bazelak did undergo a leg surgery during the offseason which could have accounted for Bowling Green's overreliance on the run, and this game was a blowout which also shouldn't be an indicator for the entire season to come.

Impact Bazelak underwent surgery for his right leg back in January to address a cartilage defect, and he missed spring practices up until late this summer to recover. The 6-foot-3 starting quarterback should be fully ready as August practices start up, so his recovery schedule is going as planned. He threw for 1,930 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions with the Falcons this past season and should be primed to start again under center as long as he can stay healthy in what will likely be his final collegiate season.
