Sire Gaines - Sees 10 carries in win Gaines posted 10 carries for 31 yards during Friday's 25-24 victory against Utah State.
Impact Gaines came back to earth Friday after exploding for 149 yards with two touchdowns last week against Colorado State. It was an up-and-down regular season for the redshirt freshman, who will head into the conference championship game with 732 yards and seven touchdowns on 144 carries.

Matt Wagner - Finds end zone vs. Utah State Wagner accrued four receptions (on seven targets) for 64 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 25-24 victory against Utah State.
Impact Wagner delivered his best game of the year in the regular-season finale, setting season highs in receptions and yards while hauling in an 11-yard touchdown, his first of the season. Wagner, a redshirt sophomore, will head into the conference championship game with 21 receptions for 234 yards.

The sophomore has reemerged as the Broncos' lead back down the stretch, racking up 271 yards and three touchdowns on 60 carries in his last three contests. Riley will head into the conference championship game with 1,016 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on 164 carries.

Maddux Madsen - Healthy for MWC Championship Madsen (ankle) will start Friday's Mountain West Championship game against UNLV, Shaun Goodwin of the Idaho Statesman reports.
Impact Madsen will return from a three-game absence due to an ankle injury to start Friday's MWC Championship game. The quarterback's return will send Max Cutforth back to second on the depth chart. Before suffering the injury in Week 10, Madsen accumulated 1,997 passing yards and a 15:7 TD:INT across eight starts. He added three rushing touchdowns.

Impact Cutforth was only going to be Boise State's starting quarterback while Maddux Madsen (ankle) was out. But now that Madsen is healthy, the Broncos will revert to him starting under center. So despite a strong performance in Week 14, with 26 completed passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns at Utah State, Cutforth has been relegated to primary backup once again.

Impact Every Boise State halfback -- including Malik Sherrod and Sire Gaines -- got to feast in this one. Still, Riley eclipsed 70 yards and scored for the second straight game, continuing what's been a very solid sophomore season for the tailback. Boise State figures to continue to lean heavily on its running game in Week 14 against Utah State.

Sire Gaines - Erupts vs. Rams Gaines tallied 22 rushes for 149 yards and two touchdowns and caught their only target for 12 yards during Saturday's 49-21 win over Colorado State.
Impact Gaines had his biggest day yet in 2025, eclipsing 100 yards for the first time while logging his third multi-touchdown performance. Boise State got to run the ball plenty as it dismantled Colorado State, meaning fellow tailbacks Malik Sherrod and Dylan Riley also got to gobble up yards and touchdowns. The Broncos, working with a backup quarterback for the third straight game, were finally able to lean on their rushing attack and let that carry them to victory. They'll look to continue that in Week 14 against Utah State.

Malik Sherrod - Two scores vs. Rams Sherrod posted seven rushes for 56 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 49-21 win over Colorado State.
Impact Sherrod took fewer carries than Sire Gaines and Dylan Riley, but the tailback made the most of them, punching in two touchdowns as Boise State rolled over Colorado State. Sherrod remains largely touchdown dependent from a fantasy perspective, however, considering how crowded the Broncos' backfield is.

Max Cutforth - Much better outing in win Cutforth was 22-for-34 passing for 239 yards during Saturday's 49-21 victory versus Colorado State.
Impact Cutforth was coming off two quiet games, as he threw for 106 yards in the loss to Fresno State and 104 yards in the loss to San Diego State. However, the Broncos bounced back against the Rams and Cutforth's performance reflected that, as he completed 65 percent of his passes and threw for a career-high 239 yards. With Maddux Madsen doubtful once again, Cutforth appears slated for another start in Week 14.

Impact Caples suffered a hard hit that knocked him out cold during Saturday's 49-21 win against Colorado State, and while his status remains uncertain, it seems the wideout could suit up for the regular-season finale in Week 14.
