Lands at South Alabama Jones announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to South Alabama, joining the program as a transfer from Auburn.
Impact Jones was in the transfer portal for a week before he found a new school within the state of Alabama. By virtue of moving to a smaller school, Jones should have a clearer path to minutes with the Jaguars than what existed at Auburn. He'll sit out the remainder of the 2020-21 season, and the sophomore could require a waiver from the NCAA in order to play right away when the 2021-22 campaign tips off.
