VJ Edgecombe - Contributes despite poor shooting Edgecombe logged seven points (3-12 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in 41 minutes during Saturday's 74-71 OT victory over West Virginia. Impact Edgecombe struggled with his shot, failing to record a double-figure scoring total for the first time since the beginning of January, though he did match a season high with six assists while reaching eight boards for the fourth time this season. The star freshman injured his ankle Feb.1 against Kansas and while there was some fear it may be a lingering issue, only missed one game and has looked healthy over the last three since his return. Edgecombe has been sensational since the start of conference play, averaging 16.8 points while shooting 42.4-percent from long range, and adding 4.8 boards, 3.3 assists and 1.9 steals across 34.8 minutes while playing 13 of 14 games during the Big-12 slate.
