Townsend's 22 lead Oakland over Eastern Michigan 77-63

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Trey Townsend's 22 points helped Oakland defeat Eastern Michigan 77-63 on Friday night.

Townsend added nine rebounds for the Golden Grizzlies (6-5). D.Q. Cole scored 11 points and added six rebounds and three steals. Jack Gohlke finished 3 of 9 from 3-point range to finish with 11 points.

Tyson Acuff led the Eagles (5-4) in scoring, finishing with 18 points and five assists. Yusuf Jihad added 15 points for Eastern Michigan. In addition, Legend Geeter finished with 12 points.
