Stewart's 19 lead UT Martin past Eastern Illinois 91-78
MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) — Parker Stewart's 19 points helped UT Martin defeat Eastern Illinois 91-78 on Saturday night.
Stewart added eight rebounds and three steals for the Skyhawks (13-8, 5-3 Ohio Valley Conference). Chris Nix scored 19 points while going 7 of 7 and 5 of 8 from the free throw line, and added three blocks. K.J. Simon recorded 16 points and finished 7 of 13 from the field.
Kinyon Hodges led the Panthers (7-14, 3-5) in scoring, finishing with 25 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Cameron Haffner added 15 points for Eastern Illinois. In addition, Jermaine Hamlin finished with nine points.
NEXT UP
Both teams next play Thursday. UT Martin hosts Lindenwood while Eastern Illinois visits Southern Indiana.
