Jimel Lane had 20 points in Northwestern State's 97-71 win against Incarnate Word on Saturday night.
Lane added six rebounds for the Demons (3-13, 1-2 Southland Conference). Chase Forte scored 18 points and added seven rebounds and seven assists. Duane Posey shot 5 of 8 from the field and 6 for 7 from the free-throw line to finish with 16 points.
The Cardinals (5-11, 0-3) were led in scoring by Sky Wicks, who finished with 17 points and four steals. Alex Anderson added 15 points for Incarnate Word. In addition, Josh Akpovwa finished with 14 points.
