Kochera scores 21, Davidson knocks off Fordham 68-53
DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — Connor Kochera had 21 points in Davidson's 68-53 victory against Fordham on Tuesday night.
Kochera added five rebounds for the Wildcats (15-11, 5-8 Atlantic 10 Conference). Reed Bailey scored 19 points while going 3 of 12 and 12 of 16 from the free throw line, and added five rebounds. Angelo Brizzi had 14 points and shot 5 for 7 (2 for 3 from 3-point range) and 2 of 4 from the free throw line.
Elijah Gray finished with nine points for the Rams (10-16, 4-9). Will Richardson added nine points and two blocks for Fordham. Abdou Tsimbila also put up seven points and six rebounds.
Bailey scored 12 points in the first half and Davidson went into the break trailing 24-23. Davidson used a 10-0 run in the second half to build a 14-point lead at 59-45 with 5:35 remaining before finishing off the win.
Davidson's next game is Saturday against Richmond on the road, and Fordham hosts Duquesne on Friday.
