Jimerson scores 20, Saint Louis knocks off Illinois State 80-71

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Gibson Jimerson scored 20 points as Saint Louis beat Illinois State 80-71 on Saturday night.

Jimerson added five rebounds for the Billikens (3-0). Sincere Parker added 19 points while going 8 of 17 (2 for 5 from 3-point range), and they also had nine rebounds. Terrence Hargrove Jr. was 3 of 8 shooting, including 1 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 5 for 6 from the line to finish with 12 points.

The Redbirds (1-1) were led by Malachi Poindexter, who posted 19 points and six rebounds. Dalton Banks added 17 points for Illinois State. Myles Foster also had 10 points and seven rebounds.
