Jackson's 18 points lead Western Carolina past Brescia 85-47

CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) — Tre Jackson scored 18 points, Vonterius Woolbright had 16 points, 17 rebounds and seven assists, and Western Carolina defeated Brescia 85-47 on Thursday.

Jackson also had five rebounds for the Catamounts (10-2). Woolbright shot 5 of 8 from the field and 5 for 6 from the line. DJ Campbell had 14 points and finished 6 of 10 from the field.

Cory Gardner finished with 14 points and two steals for the Bearcats. Taeron Hogg added 11 points for Brescia. Mark Cooper also had seven points.

Western Carolina hosts King (Tenn.) in its next matchup on Dec. 30.
