Acuff scores 25, Eastern Michigan takes down Detroit Mercy 76-72

DETROIT (AP) — Tyson Acuff scored 25 points as Eastern Michigan beat Detroit Mercy 76-72 on Tuesday night.

Acuff shot 10 for 15 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free throw line for the Eagles (3-2). John McGriff added 10 points while going 4 of 5 (2 for 3 from 3-point range), and he also had five assists. Yusuf Jihad was 3 of 5 shooting and 4 of 4 from the free throw line to finish with 10 points.

Jayden Stone led the way for the Titans (0-5) with 34 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Marcus Tankersley added 17 points for Detroit Mercy.
