ASU, UNLV agree to future football series

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 11:45 p.m. ET

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State and UNLV scheduled a future home-and-home series in football, it was announced Friday.

The games will be played on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas and on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at Sun Devil Stadium.

"We are excited to announce this series with UNLV," ASU Vice President for University Athletics Ray Anderson said. "With our scheduling philosophy we are always looking to schedule home-/home series with selected institutions within our geographical footprint. UNLV as an institution and Las Vegas as a destination fit that perfectly. We believe our fan base will enjoy this series."

The series completes the 2020 non-conference schedule for ASU. The Sun Devils will open on Sept. 5 with NAU, travel to UNLV on Sept. 12 and return home versus BYU on Sept. 19.
