Cal Poly cruises to 77-65 win over Fresno State

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) Taylor Sutlive scored 16 points on 5-for-5 shooting to lead Cal Poly to a 77-65 win over Fresno State on Saturday night.

Luke Meikle added 15 points, Reese Morgan had 14 and Joel Awich 10 for Cal Poly (5-3), which hit 50 percent of its 44 shots from the field and was 25 of 35 from the line. Sutlive sank all three of his shots from behind the arc.

Leading by six at the break, the Mustangs continued to pull away in the second half. Zach Gordon's layup midway through the second half stretched Cal Poly's lead to 45-34 and the margin never tightened below double figures the rest of the way.

Cezar Guerrero paced Fresno State (6-2) with 15 points, Torren Jones added 13 and Marvelle Harris had 12. The Bulldogs were held to 35 percent shooting from the field and just 5 of 22 from long range.
