Utley finally answers Mac's letter

Fans of the show surely remember Mac's epic letter to the Phillies star four years ago. But Utley's response takes it to a whole new level of awesome.

Back in 2009, an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia called “The World Series Defense” aired. In that episode, the gang attempts to explain to a judge that they should have a large collection of parking citations waived because the Philadelphia Phillies won the 2008 World Series.

There are a lot of goofy things that happen in the episode — including Charlie, dressed as the green man, fighting the Philly Phanatic:

But one of the plot’s storylines involves a plan in which Dee runs onto the field to kiss Chase Utley and deliver a letter for Mac. In the video below, Dee reads Mac’s letter (with a brief, NSFW response to a pair of stickers on the page):

Anyway, in the four years since the episode debuted in October 2009, Mac’s letter went unanswered — until Tuesday, that is, when Utley finally responded to his biggest fan:

There is so much awesome in this video I can hardly contain myself and it should be just enough to hold me over — forgive me, just being a company man — until the premiere of season nine of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on the newly-launched FXX.
