Wagner will be making his second stint on the DL this season, this time with a strain of the left posterior rotator cuff. The move is retroactive to July 22. The hard-throwing southpaw missed a month of action from May 8 - June 8 with a strained left groin. In his last appearance on July 21 versus the Florida Marlins, Wagner pitched 1 1/3 innings with two strikeouts and one walk. Philadelphia was just swept by the Marlins in Miami, where the Phillies are winless in their last 14 tries. The Phillies have lost 23 of the last 26 meetings with the defending champions and are 1-11 versus their NL-East foe this season. Philadelphia opens a three- game series versus the Chicago Cubs Monday afternoon at Wrigley Field. Wagner has appeared in 31 contests this season and is 3-0 with a 3.12 ERA and 16 saves. The Phillies acquired Wagner in the offseason from the Houston Astros in exchange for pitcher Brandon Duckworth and minor league pitchers Taylor Buchholz and Ezequiel Astacio. Meanwhile, the club activated relief pitcher Amaury Telemaco from the 15-day disabled list. Telemaco, a righthander, was shelved on June 13. His last appearance was on June 8 versus the Chicago White Sox.
