Acuna (forearm) has returned to Arizona Fall League action and is hitting .294 with three walks and four strikeouts in 17 at-bats for the Peoria Javelinas.

    Impact

The top prospect in baseball suffered a forearm contusion after getting hit by a pitch last week, but returned to action over the weekend. He is expected to make his big-league debut when the Braves have secured an extra year of team control in mid-April of 2018.

    News

Acuna was diagnosed with a forearm contusion after being hit by a pitch Thursday, William Boor of MLB.com reports.

    Impact

This is encouraging news, as Acuna seems to have avoided a more serious injury after being forced out of the Arizona Fall League contest. The Braves will likely send the elite prospect for some testing over the weekend to make sure his injury is nothing more than a bruise, but for the time being, it appears Acuna can breathe easy.

    News

Acuna was prematurely lifted from Thursday's Arizona Fall League game after being hit by a pitch near his wrist, William Boor of MLB.com reports.

    Impact

Acuna was initially able to stay in the game after getting plunked, but he looked uncomfortable on the basepaths and was subsequently removed between innings. It's possible his removal was simply precautionary -- as Acuna is baseball's top prospect -- but that won't be known until he's further evaluated in the coming days.
