Murphy (shoulder) has spent the offseason working off in Boston and is back to throwing at 100 percent, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
Viewed as the Rockies' best catching prospect heading into the 2014 season, Murphy was limited to just 27 games at Double-A Tulsa due to the injury, never suiting up after mid-May. It sounds like he'll be fully healthy for spring training, but the 23-year-old is on track for a repeat year at Tulsa to make up for the lost development time. He wasn't exactly thriving offensively before the injury set in, slashing just .213/.321/.415.
