Ex-UFC fighter Jason 'Mayhem' Miller arrested following brawl with cops
Former UFC fighter Jason "Mayhem" Miller is back in jail after getting into a brawl with police officers outside a bar near Laguna Beach, California, on Saturday night.
According to the LA Times, Miller caused a commotion at The White House restaurant while also smashing a glass before police arrived on the scene.
Miller allegedly left on foot out the front door of the establishment after police arrived before he turned another direction and ran into several officers who were there to assist.
The report states that Miller started to fight with the police before four officers eventually dragged him to the ground and subdued him. Miller was allegedly kicking and spitting at the officers while they were trying to get him under control.
Laguna Beach police officer Tim Kleiser also told the Times that Miller continued to be a problem once he was put into the back of the cruiser for transportation to jail, where he began kicking the windows inside the vehicle.
Miller was taken into custody where he remained on Monday under suspicion of resisting arrest, battery on an officer, and unlawful fighting.
According to the Orange County Jail, Miller is being held on $220,000 bail.
This is just the latest run-in with the police for Miller since he semi-retired from fighting following his last UFC bout in 2012.
In October 2014, Miller actually live-tweeted a standoff with police and the SWAT team after authorities arrived at his residence to serve a warrant for alleged domestic violence and stalking. Miller refused to leave the residence while police surrounded his home.
Several hours later, Miller finally surrendered to police with no further altercation at the time. He was released on bail while awaiting a court date.
Miller remains in jail with his next scheduled court appearance on Tuesday.
