Where there's smoke, there's fire -- at Vikings stadium construction site

Late Friday morning, a plume of smoke could be seen rising from the construction site of the new Vikings stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

Mortenson, the construction firm working on the project, confirmed to WCCO that there had been a fire, started by welding sparks that fell onto uncovered insulation material.

Workers extinguished the fire immediately and no one was injured.
