WEEK 7 SURVIVOR POOL PICKS

Week 7 Survivor Pool Picks are in! If you followed my advice last week you advanced with either the Patriots or Cardinals. Several appealing options exist this week. There are two teams who I am fairly confident will win their games this Sunday. If you would like another persons perspective you can take a look at my colleague Neal Lynch’s picks for the Week 7.

My picks thus far have been: Week 1-Kansas City Chiefs, Week 2- New York Jets, Week 3- Miami Dolphins, Week 4-Bengals, Week 5- Steelers, Week 6-Patriots. For those of you who have not yet picked the Patriots, I believe you should pick them this weekend.

PATRIOTS OVER STEELERS

New England looks phenomenal right now. The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a loss to the Miami Dolphins. The worst thing about that game is the loss of QB Ben Roethlisberger. Big Ben will miss several weeks of action with a knee surgery/recovery. It is unfortunate for the Steelers offense to lose Ben.

Landry Jones will be leading the Steelers at QB this weekend. I do not believe that he will be able to muster up enough offense to beat the Patriots. The Patriots only lost only lost one game during Tom Brady’s four game suspension. This game is a road game for the Pats which I typically avoid picking, however I do not see the Patriots losing. I expect a fairly convincing win from the Patriots this weekend.

FALCONS OVER CHARGERS

The Atlanta Falcons lost on a controversial play last week. Richard Sherman should have been flagged for pass interference last weekend. The Falcons could easily be 5-1 right now, instead they sit at 4-2. The Falcons will be my pick this weekend. They are playing at home and playing a team that seems to find ways to lose games.

Matt Ryan has been absolutely superb this season. He is the current leader for QB’s in fantasy points. Ryan has already thrown 15 touchdown passes this season. Julio Jones has 31 catches for 656 yards this season. Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman have been deadly in the backfield. The Falcons do not have the strongest defense, but their offense has been extremely potent.

Phillip Rivers and the Chargers have looked good on offense. Melvin Gordon has been a breakout star this season and already has 393 yards with 6 touchdowns on the season. Rivers has thrown for 15 touchdowns with only 3 interceptions. Although the Chargers offense is decent, they have often collapsed defensively. I do not see the Chargers winning this contest.

    GOOD LUCK!

The Patriots and Falcons are my picks this week. The Patriots will best a Steelers team without Big Ben. The Falcons will look great at home and score tons of points. These two teams are the teams I believe give you the best chance to move forward in your Survivor Pool.
