Patriots (-7.5) over Colts

Where to begin? A season ago, Jonas Gray's one-hit-wonder fantasy performance - 201 rush yards with four touchdowns - played for four quarters against the Colts rush defense. Gray led the Patriots to a 22-point victory at Lucas Oil.

Cardinals (-3) over Steelers

Have you watched Mike Vick at quarterback the last two games? He's the only person to slow down Antonio Brown the last two seasons. Brown voiced his frustration this week.

Arizona's defense just flustered Matt Stafford to the extent he was benched at home last week. Only thing that makes me nervous for Arizona is back-to-back 1 p.m. EST early kickoffs.

Jets (-6) over Redskins

New York at home coming off the BYE. Washington coming off tough road loss at Atlanta - who may not be as good as once thought - hit the road again and will be without starting center Kory Lichtensteiger, starting left tackle Trent Williams and cornerback Chris Culliver vs. Brandon Marshall/Eric Decker tandem.

Jets get Sheldon Richardson to bolster an already top two NFL defense (13.8 PAPG). Can Washington score enough points?

Giants (+4.5) over Eagles

The Giants make the short trip to Philadelphia as underdogs, as the line favors the Eagles. However, in WhatIfSports.com’s Week 6 NFL predictions, New York gets the nod, winning 57.8 percent of 501 simulations by an average score of 25-23. The ATS odds are even more promising for the Giants, with the team beating the spread 71.3 percent of the time. (Please note that our ATS win percentage is based off a four-point spread, while this week’s SuperContest spread is set to four and a half.) View the box score.

Bears (+3) over Lions

The second of two Week 6 upset picks by the WhatIfSports simulation engine is Bears over Lions. The hosting Lions are three-point favorites, but we’re confidently predicting a Chicago victory. The Bears were winners in 67.8 percent of simulations, outscoring Detroit by an average of six points per game. Chicago covered the spread 70.5 percent of the time. The 2-3 Bears carry a two-game winning streak into the contest, while the Lions remain winless at 0-5. View the box score.

Ravens (-2.5) over 49ers

It’s a rematch of Super Bowl XLVII, but oh how times have changed. Both clubs enter the contest with just one win to their names. Baltimore’s four losses have been of the gut-wrenching variety. Each has come by six or fewer points, including last week’s defeat to Cleveland, when the team blew a 14-3 lead, recovered to send the game to OT and then lost in the extra stanza. Three of San Francisco’s four losses have been by double digits, with the exception being last week’s heartbreaker to the Giants. We like Baltimore to win this one. In 501 simulations, the Ravens came out on top 66.1 percent of the time and covered the spread 62.5 percent of the time. View the box score.
