Thomas' 18 points lead Suns past Flamengo

PHOENIX -- Isaiah Thomas scored 18 points, and the Phoenix Suns beat Flamengo 100-88 in an exhibition on Wednesday night.

Eric Bledsoe had 15 points for the Suns, who play their first NBA preseason game on Friday night against Denver. Gerald Green and Markieff Morris each scored 13.

Phoenix shot 50 percent (37 for 74) from the field, compared to 39.1 percent (27 for 69) for the Brazilian club team.

Marcelinho Machado scored 16 for Flamengo, which went 28 for 31 from the free-throw line. Nicolas Laprovittola had 13 points and 12 assists, and Jerome Meyinsse finished with 15 points.

Phoenix led 54-43 at halftime.
