Suns unveil 'civic pride' uniforms, redesigned court
The Suns unveiled a new court design, new alternate uniforms and their new "We Are PHX" marketing campaign on Tuesday night at a Phoenix-area resort.
The new uniforms are being called "Civic Pride" alternates and feature black jerseys and shorts, with purple and orange piping along the neckline. The color scheme is a reflection of the black alternates that debuted in 1994-95, during the height of the Charles Barkley era. The new look will be worn 13 times during the upcoming season, starting with opening night, Oct. 28, vs. the Portland Trail Blazers.

In addition to the new threads, the Suns are redesigning the court at newly rechristened Talking Stick Resort Arena. The predominant change is the return of the sunburst at center court following a 10-year hiatus. Gone is the block-letter "SUNS" logo.
The three-point arc, key, free-throw lanes and bench-area boundaries -- all previously black -- are now purple -- again reflecting the team's heritage.
