Rays righty Cobb decides to adopt lost stray dog Oscar

A conclusion has been reached in the search to find a stray dog's owner in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Alex Cobb will adopt the animal.

On Saturday, the Rays announced that Oscar, the dog that Cobb found during his spring-training stay in Port Charlotte last Monday, will find a new home with the pitcher. Cobb had housed the dog on what was believed to be a temporary basis until an owner was found. 

But after a brief search, Cobb has chosen to adopt Oscar for good, which means Axel, Cobb's American bulldog, has a new playmate. Happy endings are great, aren't they?
