Packers sign TE Justin Perillo to active roster, place S Sean Richardson on IR
The Green Bay Packers have signed practice-squad tight end Justin Perillo to the active roster, placed safety Sean Richardson on injured reserve and signed defensive back Kyle Sebetic to the practice squad.
General manager Ted Thompson announced the roster moves on Wednesday.
Perillo, 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, is in his second season out of Maine. Originally signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent last year, he began the 2014 season on the practice squad but was promoted to the active roster on Nov. 15, where he spent the rest of the campaign and played in two games.
Richardson suffered a neck injury last week that could threaten his career.
Sebetic, 6-0, 197 pounds, is a first-year player from Dayton. Originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2014, he was released by New York before the season but spent a week on their practice squad last November. The Pleasant Prairie, Wis., native signed with the Packers on March 25 but was released on Sept. 1.
