Packers re-sign versatile OL Don Barclay
The Green Bay Packers have brought back versatile offensive lineman Don Barclay, re-signing the unrestricted free agent on Friday. Terms were not announced.
An undrafted free agent, Barclay has played in 62 games with the Packers in his five seasons and has been used at all five positions along the offensive line.
Barclay played in 16 games in 2016 with one start, accumulating 144 offensive snaps and allowing two sacks. He started 14 games in 2013 at right tackle, although he allowed 9.5 sacks that season. Barclay missed the entire 2014 season with a knee injury. In 2015, he had 423 offensive snaps and allowed 10.5 sacks.
Barclay made $1.542 million in 2015 but took a pay cut to $700,000 last season.
Green Bay has also re-signed linebacker Nick Perry and punter Jacob Schum thus far this offseason, while seeing Micah Hyde (Buffalo), center J.C. Tretter (Cleveland) and linebacker Julius Peppers (Carolina) sign elsewhere.
