The Green Bay Packers made it official Thursday, announcing that defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson has signed with the club as a free agent.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Packers also announced two other transactions: the signing of cornerback Herb Waters, and a trade that sends cornerback Damarious Randall, a fourth-round pick in 2018 and a fifth-round pick in 2019 to the Cleveland Browns for quarterback DeShone Kizer, as well as Cleveland's fourth-round pick in 2018 and fifth-round pick in 2019.

A first-round pick of the New York Jets in 2011, Wilkerson spent seven seasons there, racking up 44 1/2 sacks, 26 passes defended and 10 forced fumbles. Wilkerson was named to the Pro Bowl in 2015 after registering a career-high 12 sacks.

He had just 3 1/2 sacks last season, and contributed 26 tackles (20 solo). He was benched for the final three games of the 2017 season, and was released by the Jets earlier this month.

Wilkerson joins a strong Packers defensive line that features defensive tackles Mike Daniels and Kenny Clark, as well as fellow defensive end Dean Lowry.
