Marlins' Stanton posts Instagram update on healing facial injuries

Miami Marlins All-Star slugger Giancarlo Stanton is looking like his old self.
Stanton posted a photo to Instagram on Friday afternoon with the caption, "Revived, Power to all my people!! Done looking like the dude on my shirt & back to being me."
The 24-year-old wore a black T-shirt with RoboCop sporting a bandaged head. On Sept. 11, Stanton sustained multiple facial fractures, dental damage and a facial laceration that required stitches when Milwaukee Brewers righty Mike Fiers hit him with an 88 mph pitch.
Seven days after the incident, Stanton spoke with media and said his facial fractures would take 4 to 6 weeks to fully heal. At the time, he still had light swelling on his face and bruises. Aside from dental work, Stanton continued to undergo CAT scans.
It is not known whether Stanton will stay in Florida to get at-bats in the instructional league, which goes through early October. He was still awaiting clearance to fly.
Stanton hit .288 with 37 home runs and 105 RBI in 145 games. Prior to the incident, he led the National League in nearly all offensive categories, including homers and runs driven in.
