LeBron James has stopped doing his signature chalk toss

The people wanted it, but LeBron James has apparently ditched his trademark chalk toss.

Before the season, James asked the Cleveland fans to vote on whether he should continue with throwing up a bunch of chalk and slapping his hands together prior to each game. An overwhelming 95 percent were in favor of James keeping the tradition around.

However, with the Cavaliers off to a slow start in James' first season back in Cleveland, the Akron native vowed a couple of weeks ago to start doing things differently.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, one change in James' routine was to stop the chalk toss.

Naturally, the Cavaliers have started to pick things up, winning their past three games.

[UPDATE: James said on Tuesday that he hasn't scrapped the chalk toss.]
