Lakers' Nick Young estimates $100K in goods stolen from home
LOS ANGELES -- Nick Young returned home after the Lakers' Sunday night 103-94 win over Orlando and found a disturbing scene.
His home had been broken into.
"I seen my drawers and everything open, clothes all over the floor, and glass broken on the window," Young said. "It was tough. I get in after a good win and come home to that."
The Lakers guard says he estimates nearly $100K worth of luggage, jewelry, and a laptop were stolen. He also says his Air Yeezy shoes were lifted by the burglars. The shoes are an estimated $6,000 alone.
Young says he stayed at a hotel last night because he didn't feel safe.
As he spoke to members of the media after Lakers practice Monday morning, Young was still able to laugh and joke like he normally does, but he was in a state of disbelief.
"I'm shocked they really went in my house," Young said. "It really didn't hit me until this morning when I woke up and I seen it everywhere. Then I started thinking about all the things they took.
"I was just shocked they tried to get Swaggy, yesterday."
Young, who says he does have insurance for the possessions that were taken, added that he's not sure whether he was a target, but he certainly feels the intruders had a plan.

"I think they knew that I had a game that day," Young said. "I think they scoped it out a little bit. Obviously, they knew nobody was in the house, and they knew we had a game, so they came at the right time."
Young says he may take steps toward protecting himself and his home.
"(I may) get a guard dog or something," he said.
