Kobe Bryant will finish career with $323 million in NBA salary earnings alone

Since Kobe Bryant announced he would retire at the end of the 2015-2016 NBA season, fellow athletes, fans and celebrities have lined up to reflect on the Los Angeles Lakers guard's great career and offer well-wishes for post-retirement.

If Bryant has managed his finances well over his 20 years in the league, he will have the resources to do just about anything post-basketball (including possibly buying the City of Temecula) after collecting a whopping $323,312,307 in salary alone.

There's more: According to Forbes, Kobe earned an additional $350 million through endorsement deals with Nike, Mercedes-Benz, McDonald’s, Sprite, Nintendo, Sony and other brands. Forbes also notes that adjusted for inflation, Bryant hauled in a record $762 million in on- and off-the-court earnings — even more than Michael Jordan ($720 million) during his playing career.

Kobe's salary itself, though, is actually a bit shy of 39-year-old Kevin Garnett's $331,826,371 and still counting. The Timberwolves' Garnett bypassed college like Bryant and entered the league in 1995.
