John Harbaugh's Spartans hat rankles his brother-in-law

John Harbaugh decided to take some time away from prepping for the NFL Draft on Sunday.

The Baltimore Ravens head coach got up, got dressed, maybe stopped for a bite to eat and got down to Madison Square Garden to watch Michigan State and UConn fight for a spot in the NCAA tournament's Final Four. Sounds like a good time, right?

At least until CBS cameras caught Harbaugh in the crowd and focused on his smiling face for a few seconds. You see, John Harbaugh has a little sister -- named Joani -- and she is married. To whom? Try Tom Crean, the head basketball coach over at Indiana University and a fierce Big Ten rival of Michigan State.

Hoo boy. Crean posted this tweet a short time later:

Don't worry, it's all in good fun. A family war isn't about to break out. But it does beg the question: Why was John Harbaugh wearing that Michigan State hat? He attended Miami of Ohio during his college years, and the closest he came to Michigan State during his coaching career was as an assistant coach at Western Michigan.

Hmmm, oh well. Life is strange sometimes.
