'Inside the Marlins: Spring Training' debuts Feb. 28 on FOX Sports Florida

MIAMI (Feb. 27, 2017) -- On Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m., FOX Sports Florida, the statewide television home of the Miami Marlins, will debut an all-new episode of "Inside the Marlins." Titled "Spring Training," this episode goes behind the scenes with the Fish as they prepare to not only make a splash in the National League, but also, make an impact throughout the community.

"Inside the Marlins: Spring Training" begins with host Jessica Blaylock sitting with play-by-play announcer Rich Waltz and new color analyst Todd Hollandsworth to break down spring training battles, pitching rotations, Miami's revamped bullpen, players to watch, who's in for a potential breakout year and of course, what needs to happen for the Marlins to make the playoffs.

It's not all about the march to Opening Day, as the episode provides an all-access look at the Marlins efforts in the community over the past month. We begin with cameras rolling throughout the Marlins day of impact initiative, which featured events like a softball game with viejitos featuring Martin Prado and Miguel Rojas, a visit to SLAM Academy featuring Rojas, Kyle Barraclough and Jeff Locke, lunch at Arbetters with Dan Straily and JT Riddle, a visit to an animal shelter with Christian Yelich and Justin Bour, a tour of the U-Health Lennar Center with Giancarlo Stanton, Straily, Riddle and President of Baseball Operations Mike Hill and a visit to the Miami-Dade Police Department in Kendall with Dee Gordon, Tomas Telis, Drew Steckenrider and Nick Wittgren. Beyond the day, FOX Sports Florida was present at the team's annual Fanfest and Fourth Annual Jack McKeon Celebrity Golf Tournament, as well as Gordon, Derek Dietrich and Tom Koehler attending a Florida Panthers game.
