Packers (-7) over the Bears

Broncos (- 4 1/2) over the Ravens

Peyton Manning will never be healthier this season. He's at home and I don't remember the Ravens playing any games at elevation this preseason. Last time Manning faced the Ravens, Week 1 of the 2013 season, he threw for a career-high seven touchdowns and 462 passing yards.

How many yards will Jets running back Chris Ivory racked up on 2014's worst rush defense? Here are how RB1's fared against the Browns the final three weeks of the 2014 season:

Colts (- 2 1/2) over the Bills

In WhatIfSports.com’s Week 1 predictions, the Colts are projected to beat the Bills straight up 73.5 percent of the time by an average score of 28-20. With Indy favored by just 2 ½ points, our NFL simulation engine like the Colts to cover the spread 70.1 percent of the time, the highest ATS odds of all Week 1 contests.

Lions (+ 3) cover against the Chargers

Even though the Chargers are 3-point favorites, WhatIfSports.com envisions an outright win for Detroit, with the Lions coming out on top in 61.1 percent of our 501 simulations. The Lions’ odds of covering the spread are even better, with a 66.9 ATS win percentage.

Seahawks (- 4) over the Rams

The defending NFC champions were 5-3 on the road last season, including a 28-26 defeat in St. Louis. We’re projecting the Seahawks to avenge that loss though, with Pete Carroll’s squad winning 76.6 percent of simulations by an average score of 27-17. The Seahawks covered the spread in 64.9 percent of our 501 simulations.
