We are down to the final four baseball teams. None of them have reached the World Series since Cleveland in 1997! We will have some new faces on the grandest stage in baseball this year!. DraftKings still gives us DFS players our fix by combining the LCS games. At any rate, our DFS baseball contests are dwindling, but we know we have at least three more! This contest will include Game 3 of each LCS.
NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players. Check out this post from Matt McGarvey for great tips about whether to use a hot player in DFS or not.

Best Bets:
Jake Arrieta ($10,800): Surprisingly, the Cubs have made it this far and have only had to use Arrieta once in the postseason. He will line up to start either Game 6 or 7 of the NLCS after this, depending on when the Cubbies need him. The Dodgers are only hitting .202 against Arrieta in 89 at bats with two homers, only five runs, and an impressive 23 strikeouts. Arrieta is easily the best option, on paper anyway, over the Game threes.
Marcus Stroman ($8,000): Cleveland is only hitting .218 against Stroman in 78 at bats with just three runs scored against him with only one extra base hit, a Carlos Santana double. They have also struck out 17 times against Stroman. Stroman was brilliant against the O’s to vault the Jays into the ALDS. They need him to be brilliant again, and the past stats say he can be.
Honorable Mention:
Rich Hill ($9,200): Hill’s former teammates are just 3-18(.167) against him with only one run scored and nine strikeouts. However, David Ross has just one hits in 13 at bats with nine strikeouts, so his ineptitude skews the stats a bit. What we do know is that Hill will rack up the strikeouts and the pitches. He wont go deep into the game no matter what, but his strikeout potential give him a fairly high ceiling.
Trevor Bauer ($8,500): The Jays are hitting a modest .257 against Bauer, but they have two homers and have scored 12 runs off of hi min just 74 at bats. The 20 strikeouts helps mitigate the damage, but there is a lot of uncertainty here. HIs 4.26 ERA in the season is a bit concerning, even though he pitched very well against Boston in the ALDS. And call me superstitious, but a pitcher having stitches in a finger is a bit concerning to me.

Adrian Gonzalez ($3,900) is 6-21(.286) with a walk, a double, a homer, and two RBI against Jake Arrieta. Josh Reddick ($3,700) has four hits in nine at bats with a solo homer. Yasiel Puig ($3,500) has two hits in three tries against Arrieta with a double, but he has no counting stats.
Carlos Santana ($4,100) has three hits and a walk in nine at bats against Marcus Stroman, including the only extra base hit. Brandon Guyer ($3,000), Jason Kipnis ($4,100), and Francisco Lindor ($4,300) are the only ones to drive in a run against Stroman, but they are a combined 5-19.
Josh Donaldson ($4,500) is 2-5 with two walks, a double, and three RBI against Trevor Bauer. Russell Martin ($2,700) has three hits in six tries with a homer and two RBI. Michael Saunders ($2,800) is 5-9 with three walks, a double, and a RBI against Bauer.
