DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- Veteran linebacker Danny Lansanah has signed with the Miami Dolphins and will compete for a backup job after starting 11 games each of the past two seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Lansanah became a first-time starter in 2014 and has played in a total of 38 NFL games. He was originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted college free agent in 2008 and spent time on the practice squads of the Dolphins, Detroit Lions and New York Jets.
Receiver Tyler Murphy was waived injured Wednesday to create a roster spot for Lansanah.
