Leach, 39, spent two seasons in Tennessee and seven in Denver before signing with the Cardinals in 2009.
He had appeared 216 consecutive regular-season games, the second-longest active streak to Houston punter Shane Lechler (222).
Leach's Twitter post thanked the three organizations he played for and also paid tribute to Cardinals fans: "Your treatment of my family and me throughout our time here has been nothing short of wonderful, and I look forward to joining you in cheering on this team in the future."
