Best of Bake: Jeff Gordon issues challenge to Dale Jr.
(Note: As 2015 comes to an end, we're looking back at some of the top Shake and Bake stories of the year. The following was originally published on April 7.)
After visiting with President Barack Obama on Monday at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, Jeff Gordon was among three guests featured on "Live with Kelly & Michael" from the White House.
After accepting and impressively completing comedian/actor Howie Mandel's challenge of completing five pushups during a live airing of the show, the four-time Sprint Cup Series champion was given the opportunity to issue his own challenge to any person of his choosing.
His choice?
None other than Hendrick Motorsports teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr.
"I'm going to challenge my teammate, Dale Earnhardt Jr., to five squat jumps," Gordon said with a smile.
In case you don't know what all a squat jump entails, look it up. Squat jumps aren't exactly the easiest of exercises.
No word yet on whether driver No. 88 knows about his teammate's challenge or plans to accept it, but we'll keep you posted.
