Redshirt freshman linebacker Ismael Murphy-Richardson has been dismissed from Arizona State's football program after being arrested on charges of fraudulent use of a credit card, according to Doug Haller of azcentral.com.

Two other former Sun Devils -- Jayme Otomewo and Deonte Reynolds -- were charged in December with second-degree burglary in connection with the same case.

Murphy-Richardson, from Desert Edge High School in Goodyear, was expected to compete for the starting Devilbacker position in 2016. He played in 12 games in 2015 and was credited with 15 tackles and two-and-a-half sacks.
