Welker active for Denver, Irvin out for Seattle
SEATTLE (AP) Wide receiver Wes Welker is active in his return from a suspension for the Denver Broncos on Sunday while the Seattle Seahawks will be without linebacker Bruce Irvin.
Welker was reinstated this week after the NFL agreed to a new performance enhancing drug policy. Denver linebacker Danny Trevathan, coming back from a broken left leg, was inactive after practicing this week for the first time since his injury. Trevathan was Denver's leading tackler last season, but has been replaced by Brandon Marshall.
Irvin popped up on Seattle's injury report midweek with a rib injury. Irvin had seen his snap count nearly double from Week 1 to 2 after being slowed during training camp recovering from offseason hip surgery. Seattle was also without running back Christine Michael, still slowed by a hamstring injury.
