Weinstein to host NFL screening at Sundance

One of Sundance's hottest private screenings this weekend will not happen in a movie theater.

Harvey Weinstein will host a football party Sunday at his regular festival haunt, the Stein Eriksen Lodge, for New York VIPs to watch the Giants take on the 49ers for the NFC championship.

Weinstein was scheduled to arrive in Park City, Utah, on Sunday from the Producers Guild of America awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

Sources said that because of the timing, the movie mogul was doubtful whether he would throw a football bash at Sundance.

But after he hosted an AFC-title fete with Ron Burkle at the Stein a year ago, he got so many requests that he decided to bow to popular demand.
