Source: Jackson, Shurmur interview
A person familiar with the situation says the Carolina Panthers interviewed Pat Shurmur and Hue Jackson for their vacant offensive coordinator position on Monday.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team has not publically released its list of candidates.
The Panthers are looking to replace Rob Chudzinski, who left to become the head coach of the Cleveland Browns last week.
Ironically, Chudzinski replaced Shurmur, who was fired after two seasons with the Browns. Shurmur previously served as the offensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams and has 23 years of coaching experience, including 12 in the NFL.
Jackson, currently an assistant coach with the Cincinnati Bengals, also has head coaching experience. He was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders for one season.
