EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) San Francisco linebacker Dan Skuta is missing the 49ers game with the New York Giants on Sunday with an ankle injury.

It's the second straight week Skuta has been sidelined. He has played while Aldon Smith missed the first nine games because of a suspension. Smith is active for the first time this season.

Starting cornerback Trumaine Brock is out with a hamstring injury, along with return man Bruce Ellington with an ankle injury.

The Giants have no surprises on their inactive list. They welcome the return of running back Rashad Jennings. He has been sidelined for the last four games with a knee injury.

New York did not activate guard Geoff Schwartz from recallable injured reserve. He has to be activated Monday or he is out for the season.
