The Seattle Seahawks are waiving WR Chris Matthews, the team announced Friday. FS1 NFL insider Mike Garafolo originally reported the story.
Matthews, who had 109 yards and a touchdown catch in the Seahawks' Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots last season, only had four catches in 2015.
Matthews is in his second year since being undrafted out of the University of Kentucky. In his place, the Seahawks signed WR Kevin Smith from the practice squad.
