Reports: Browns sacks leader Desmond Bryant likely will miss season

It looks like the Cleveland Browns defense won't have one of its key pieces in 2016. Defensive end Desmond Bryant likely will miss the season after undergoing surgery for a torn pectoral muscle, according to multiple reports.

According to Cleveland radio station 92.3 The Fan, Bryant will likely need five to six months of recovery time, which might force him to miss the season.

Bryant, a seven-year vet, led the Browns in sacks in 2015, finishing with six. The 30-year-old has spent the past three seasons with in Cleveland, accounting for 14.5 sacks during that span.

Bryant started his career with the Raiders, spending his first four seasons in the league in Oakland. He left Oakland and signed a five-year, $34 million deal with the Browns in 2013.
