Report: Anthony Barr's knee issue 'nothing scary' for Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings got 12 games out of 2014 first-round pick Anthony Barr last year, but the outside linebacker saw his rookie season end prematurely due to a knee injury.
Barr's injured knee required surgery to repair. Although Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer described the procedure as "minor" back in mid-December, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Barr is still being held out of organized team activities.
Tom Pelissero of USA TODAY Sports assures that the decision is a mere precautionary measure.
#Vikings LB Anthony Barr is sitting out OTAs again this week, but word is his knee issue is nothing scary. No reason to push him in June.

Barr was the ninth-overall pick in last year's draft and started immediately for the Vikings on defense. Despite missing the last four games of the 2014 season, he enjoyed a rather disruptive rookie season with 70 tackles, four sacks, three passes defensed and two forced fumbles. He also recovered three fumbles, returning one 27 yards for a game-winning touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccanneers in overtime.
The Vikings are eager to have Barr's impact back on the field, but they will be patient to assure a full recovery.
