The Washington Redskins have placed receiver Mike Furrey on injured reserve because of a concussion, ruling him out for the season.

The Redskins made the move Saturday before their game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Furrey hasn't practiced since Aug. 3, only a few days into training camp.

The eight-year veteran signed with the Redskins as a free agent in June. He previously played for St. Louis, Detroit and Cleveland.
