Redskins DC Joe Barry impressed with DeAngelo Hall's leadership

Cornerback Deangelo Hall hasn't been doing much for the Washington Redskins on the field so far, as he and the team have agreed to take his recovery process slowly. That hasn't stopped him from impressing new defensive coordinator Joe Barry. Hall has displayed to Barry the leadership skills necessary in a secondary complete with younger players and newcomer Chris Culliver.

"The leadership that he's been showing with not practicing, I've really been impressed with DeAngelo," Barry said. "He's been in every single meeting for the last six weeks. He's taking notes. He's a phenomenal leader. I've really, really been pleasantly surprised with D-Hall with that. He's really impressed me with his leadership role."

For a little while longer, Hall will have to continue in his leadership role. The veteran is coming off an Achilles injury and the current plan is to hold him out all the way up until training camp.
